F-4 Phantom II Instrument Panel VI

Looking at this genuine instrument panel from a McDonnell F-4 Phantom II fighter, you can almost hear the roar of the jet's mighty engines. The two-place, all-weather F-4 Phantom II twinjet, which first flew in 1958, had a top speed more than twice that of sound. It was one of the most versatile fighters ever built, serving in the first line of more Western air forces than any other jet. The F-4 is remembered today as the quintessential American fighter. Our craftspeople carefully removed instruments from a retired F-4, inspected, cleaned, and polished them, and set them into a custom housing made from plasma-cut 11-gauge hot rolled steel. The housing was hand polished and coated with a vintage-look smoke-tinted clear powder finish. The matching base was machined to resemble airplane skin, complete with rivets. This handsome piece is a fitting tribute to a legendary plane. A Custom Hangar plaque is affixed to the display, and a Certificate of Authenticity is included.
