Jose C or José Cotacachi is a master weaver and designer with a studio and gallery in Peguche, a town 2-1/2 miles from Otavalo. Often his work is copied within the small towns surrounding his studio. The cost is much lower but the quality is also quite noticeable in comparison. The colour tends to be quite dull and the weave is much looser. This artist prides himself on a tightly woven product and vibrant tones.

This item is in excellent vintage condition. As you can see I have used a long piece of driftwood to hang it in order to show the product in it's best light. The wood is not included in the listing. Price is just for the art itself.
