Machined from a single piece of aircraft grade aluminum, the base plate is super light, extremely strong and has a liveliness of tone that cast bridges can't match. Plus, Hipshot's stainless steel saddle design couples more of the string's energy into the bridge plate and allows for a huge range of intonation.
