In the brink of political turmoil, a weak and corrupt government gives way to those who can buy in and threaten power, and eventually buy their way to a coup.
There are 5 roles which hold sway over actions:
Duke - Take 3 coins from the treasury, block foreign aid
Assassin - Pay 3 coins to assassinate another player's character
Contessa - Block an assassination attempt against yourself
Captain - Take 2 coins from another, block someone stealing from you
Ambassador - Draw 2 cards and exchange as many characters as you wish

There are also a few free actions, which any player may do on their turn:
Income - Take a coin
Foreign aid - Take 2 coins
Coup - Spend 7 coins to launch a coup against someone, forcing them to discard a player

Up to 4 opposing players claim to be 1 of a set role, using their powers to manipulate the political standpoint of their oponents, and attempt to acrew enough credits to inspire a coup against one another. In this fast paced game of Bluffing and honesty, the strong and powerful can topple at the call of one card.

In the future, money results in connections, connections mean power. And power means everything!
