Tromner Reflex Hammer

The Tromner reflex hammer traditionally features a double functional head with one large and one small end (their use depends on the width of the tested tendon). Thanks to its rounded handle, the Tromner reflex hammer fits particularly well in the hand.

With a weight of 200 gr, this hammer is a heavy version, additionally equipped with a brush and pin. It is made of German medical steel and measures 27 cm. The larger functional head is designed to test the reflexes on the large tendons of the extensor muscles (e.g. patellar tendon reflex), while the smaller head end is designed to test the flexor muscle tendons - for example, to test the biceps optic reflex.

Thanks to it's heavy design, the tromner reflex hammer  always swings evenly, providing clear reflex patterns. The additional equipment - the brush and pin - also allow for more in-depth sensitivity testing, e.g. in testing the Babinski reflex.
