SPAL fans are regarded as the best on the market. One reason why SPAL fans are the best is that we control almost every aspect of the engineering and manufacturing process. Other fan manufacturers do not have complete control over their product and sell fans that are pieced together from many different vendors.
Here at SPAL, we have complete control. We manage all aspects of production, from design and tooling of the injection molds to winding each motor. We also have an in-house R&D department that can extensively test and evaluate our fans in extreme environments from -40°F to 220°F.
Not only do many of the world’s finest automakers rely on SPAL products, but a vast majority of professional race teams, including NASCAR, SCCA, Busch, IMCA, IHRA, IMI, and NHRA depend on our fans to keep their engines cool and running at peak performance all day long.
SPAL fans are not just employed on high-performance cars and trucks. We are also the OEM fan supplier on mobile applications such as ATV’s, motorcycles, turf equipment, transit buses, trucks, and off-highway equipment.

Not completely indestructible but definitely long-lasting with plastic bits everywhere

It's destructible it just takes a long time and tons of tiny little plastic pieces everywhere and even in your dog's stomach would not recommend due to wear and tear on dog's teeth and the plastic chips off.

Yes, it will get destroyed. No, it isn't a waste of your money.

Okay, I just wanted to say I've bought this item three times even tho my huge super chewer dogs inevitably destroy it, and here's why: It's NOT a chew toy!
Pretty much *ANY* toy will not survive a strong chewer unless it is made from an indestructible material, and indestructible materials are often dangerous for doggy teeth.
The noises this thing makes entices dogs to be extra violent on it.
The trick is, you need to supervise them with the toy and if they move from chasing/bouncing it to "gnawing furiously" remove it and replace it with a safe treat toy to chew on (like a rawhide or antler, or a kong stuffed with frozen/difficult to remove treats) to satisfy their chewing needs on a safer item. This will extend the life of the toy. This way, the only damage it takes is from them mouthing/throwing it, which is what it is designed to withstand. This method is the only safe way to play with just about any play toy if you have SUPER chewers.
There are many toys out there that will last longer, however, this one makes noise and that is super valuable to enrich your dogs' life. In essence, you're paying (insert current price of this item) to get several hours of SUPERVISED play time out of this toy over the course of several months.
As far as noise makers go, this is only one of two toys I have found to hold up long enough to be worth the price. Go for it.
