What makes the Shadow Top truck cap model so unique and different from other truck bed caps on the market is that it has a curved down back that gives your truck a coupe look and provides a more aerodynamic design as opposed to the standard boxy-looking truck caps. Nevertheless, it still features all the great functionalities of your standard GAIA Campers truck cap.

Toughest Truck Caps

The GAIA Shadow Top truck cap is highly regarded for its robust construction, crafted from durable stainless steel and finished with a sleek black coating. Engineered to withstand demanding off-road journeys, it offers superior protection compared to standard bed caps, ensuring the safety of your belongings even in harsh conditions.

Accessing your truck bed contents is effortless, thanks to the integrated gas struts that ensure smooth opening and closing of the cap. The lid fully opens, facilitating easy loading of large items from the top. In terms of security, this Tacoma truck bed cap is equipped with two locking latches on each door, reinforced by safety glass and steel bars on the windows to deter unauthorized access.

It also includes an LED strip for enhanced visibility at night, ensuring safety whether you're on the road or at your campsite. Unlike your standard truck caps, this one does not allow you to install a roof rack on it thus taking away the ability to expand your storage capacity or even mount a roof top tent. However, you can mount a variety of accessories on side doors, allowing for customization to suit your needs!

  • Fully welded stainless steel; no structural bolts to worry about rattling loose over time.
  • The Shadow Top now comes standard with an operable sliding window in the front wall of the cap, behind your truck cab. 
  • The Shadow Top also features a safety glass rear window, with security bars inside the cap over the rear window (the bars can be removed by unbolting them if you do not want them).
  • Includes rear grab handles on each side, as well as a rear hatch grab handle
  • Side doors are solid (no window option is available at this time).  The side doors fold down, and are held by a limit chain in a horizontal position which is handy as a quick table. 
  • Cap includes LED internal LED strip light that come pre-wired to a switch in the rear corner of the cap by the rear hatch. Simply connect the positive & negative wire to a 12V power source of your choice.
  • Each cap comes with mounting hardware (see below) as well as rubber seals to seal the cap down to your truck bed sides.
  • Note: In some photos you may see a 3rd brake light on top of the shadow top cap, this has been removed.

😍😍 BEST DEBUT NOVEL EVER

I’m having trouble finding accurate words to describe the way this book made me feel, but I am going to do my best. To start off with basic elements, the character and world building are phenomenal. I feel a strong bond to not only the two main characters, Ara and Rogue, but to each and every character introduced throughout the book. The author did a stellar job of giving each of them unique personhood. All of the scenes are beautifully described. So much so that throughout the entirety of the book, I could see every scene: the towns, the castles, the meadows, the landscape. I have had difficulty with this and with distinguishing between outlying characters while reading in the past, but I did not have to think to remember details of world or character building because they flowed naturally within the story and were described well. I have read book series before that made me want to be a part of that world, but I actually felt like I got to step into Auryna and Ravaryn! The plot twists!! Although this is not a suspense novel, it still had me on a rollercoaster of emotions and on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. I haven’t cried actual tears over a book since I was in high school (and I’ve read a LOT). This book finally broke the floodgates in the final few chapters. Multiple times. And we love a good cliffhanger. It truly made me FEEL. THE SPICE is a solid 3.5/5. Some of the scenes had me flushed, some had me taking notes, some just had my jaw slack and my mouth hanging open. Bravo, JD Linton, bravo. The relationships: friendships, family, romantic, ALL of the relationships in this book have so much meaning. The author does a great job at making you feel the love, the anger, the peace, the frustrations, the safety, the familiarity, etc. between the characters. Ara and Rogue. I can not say enough and I also do not want to say too much. Just know that I feel like I know them both, to their core. I know what their childhood looks likes, their darkest moments, their biggest fears, their dreams and passions, what they want in life… The POV switches were seamless. I am so happy this author decided to let us see from both sets of eyes. I can not wait for book two after that cliffhanger. And there is SO much potential for at least one prequel, I can’t wait to see where this author goes! I hope this series continues and flourishes. Fingers crossed!

This book was phenomenal, I devoured it within a few days! For this being a debut novel, it is fantastic and I would’ve thought the author was a seasoned author. I have zero complaints about this book. Let me start by saying that the world building was phenomenal. I could picture everything in my head because of how detailed it was — that’s how good it was written. And I absolutely love the “captive/captor” trope so much, it’s become one of my favorite tropes, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that this book had that. I loved the banter between Rogue and Ara — they’re both snarky and witty, plus with the romantic tension, it made the dialogue that much better. Speaking of romantic tension, yes there is spice but not so much of it that it overrides the plot, which I loved. For me, this would probably be on the 3/5 level of spice. This book had a ton of plot twists and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This was very, very good. The world is vast and characters are complex. There is a good plot with a whole lot going on. This is well written. Good twists and turns and some heart breaking moments. You will love these characters, they have heart and loyalty. I am hoping that there will be several more books. We've yet to see anything from the Sea Court but only a mention of them here and there. The Wood Court was given a quick couple of scenes, and only as far as some warriors, we've yet to enter their court and the Shadow Court, I'm not sure if they will be a force for good or bad, but they definitely will play a much bigger role moving forward. This is primarily the Ice and Air Courts. Told in multiple views, which I loved, it gives you a chance to see things from different eyes. There's alot of political maneuvering and deception. I loved it and will pick up the next book as it becomes available. If you like The Fae and the courts, you should love this. I think the author has mucn in store for us.

Definitely worth the read!

After taking a deep breath and taking in that wicked twist of an ending, I have finally composed myself. My first thought when I started this book was that I love Reyna's character. I was intrigued by her connection with her familiar and the Ruin that is plaguing her land. It came as no surprise that she took her sister's place in an attempt to protect her. When they reach the Air Court everything slows down. This is where it was iffy for me. First of all, I like multiple POV's in books however 7 is a bit much. It starts to interrupt the story line. I felt like I was finally making progress connecting with one character, then it was switched to another person. I felt they all had necessary or pertinent information but not necessarily were they all POV worthy. The only other thing that annoyed me was that Reyna constantly was " trapped." She would rush off without thinking, only to need rescuing. She is brilliant in a fight, but she really doesn't think through anything. Lorcan is amazing. I know he might be on the "bad" list, but his background is so interesting. Eislyn(Reyna's sister) is really so sweet, but calculating. I enjoyed her and Thane's dialogue. The author did an amazing job with the imagery in this book. Everything was so detailed it was easy to fall into the scene. I love unexpected twists and while part of the ending I expected, I wasn't expecting how it took place. All in all, I found it very entertaining and I am very invested in continuing this series. Favorite quotes: "The truth may be twisted but never false." "Who was she if she was not the enemy of the Air Court? What was her purpose of she no longer has that?" "In a war-torn land, love was always a lie."
