Vinificatie: Na de handmatige oogst vindt de verdere druivenselectie plaats met een sorteertafel. Een natuurlijke vinificatie met inheemse gisten in betonnen vaten met lange maceraties volgt. De spontane malolactische gisting, vindt plaats in hout. Rijping in Frans eiken barrique, waarvan 1/3 nieuw eiken. Een constante bâtonnage van het fijne depot gedurende de eerste zes maanden geeft de wijn een uniek karakter.

Achtergrondinformatie: Het Petrolo-landgoed maakte deel uit van het oude Middeleeuwse landgoed van "Galantrona", waarvan de oude toren nog steeds op de top van Romeinse fundamenten staat. Het wijnhuis werd gekocht door de familie Bazzocchi in de jaren 40 en sinds de jaren 80 heeft de huidige eigenaar Lucia Sanjust Bazzocchi, met de hulp van haar zoon Luca Sanjust, de productiedoelstellingen en -methoden gewijzigd. Hiermee concentreren ze zich uitsluitend op resultaten van de hoogste kwaliteit. Hierin speelt het geloof van de familie een grote rol.

I rotate the balls because my dog brings them back wet and muddy, then they won't launch as far, so I knock some dirt off of a dry one and launch it. I would highly recommend this for active dogs.
