Recently there was a collective “No [expletive interchangeable] way” on social media for fans and followers of Blink-182 and original guitarist Tom Delonge. The rumors are true: the Fender Tom Delonge Limited Edition Stratocaster is back! 

In the past decade plus of his career, Blink and Angles & Airwaves guitarist Tom Delonge has been seen playing various semi-hollow guitars, though nostalgically he is known for his classic Fender Stratocaster, which was originally released from 1999-2004 and carried through the major heydays of Blink-182. Over the years, plenty more guitar players besides Delonge himself have incorporated his signature Strat into their guitar rigs. Now, after a long absence, the Tom Delonge Signature Stratocaster is available once again, ready for the rock show. 

The foundation of the Tom Delonge Strat is an Alder body with a sleek Gloss Poly finish, complemented by a Maple neck with modern "C" neck profile and Slab Rosewood fingerboard, 21 medium jumbo frets, and a sturdy hardtail bridge. Most distinctive about the Tom Delonge Strat is its electronics. This guitar is immediately recognized for its single bridge pickup - the Seymour Duncan Invader. This powerhouse of a pickup delivers an ultra-high output with a robust low-end response. 

In terms of controls, simplicity reigns supreme on the Delonge Strat. It only features a single master volume knob wired with a treble bleed circuit. This simple yet effective setup ensures that at lowered volumes its sound remains clean and maintains ample headroom. 

As for the reissue version, the primary distinction lies in the neck finish, which might be a preferred change for some players. The original Delonge Strat sported a gloss Urethane lacquer maple neck, whereas the reissue version comes with a smooth Satin Urethane finish. Additionally, the neck plate has been updated to showcase an original Tom Delonge design, adding a personalized touch to this signature Stratocaster.
