The DELUXE55 takes its inspiration from early tweed-wrapped West Coast American amplifiers of the mid-to-late '50s. A sound considered indispensable by many, Origin Effects took the liberty of creating their own tribute to that sonic character with completely analog circuitry and high-fidelity features and additions. With the DELUXE55, the sounds of 6V6 power amp overdrive can be harnessed through any pedalboard. Along with this, the DELUXE55 sports the sounds of valve rectifier sag, ragged phase inverter distortion, and the sound of early "Deluxe" tweed preamps.

What makes the DELUXE55 so impressive, apart from its capturing of iconic amplifier breakup, is its customization. A two-way switch controls the DELUXE55's preamp tube sound, allowing for a swap between 12AX7 and 12AY7 valve character. This is only the tip of the iceberg of customization, however. The DELUXE55 comes equipped with Origin's Post EQ circuit, meticulously designed to adapt the output of the pedal to work its best with traditional amps, cabinet simulators, or flat power amps. Whatever way you play the DELUXE55, it's fully equipped to fit into any scenario.
