Medium adult - measures 10" long (with turn up). Circumference measures 14" unstretched, up to 22" stretched.

Large adult measures 11" long (with turn up), 15"unstretched, up to 24" (stretched) circumference .

Knitted by me in rural Lincolnshire on my vintage hand-powered knitting machine in a beautiful soft but 'sheepy', worsted spun 100% British wool.  After knitting, linking and hand-finishing, the hat is first mordanted then tie-dyed in dyer's chamomile, madder and indigo. The method of dyeing is the same, but each  hat is totally unique!   

The indigo I have used is grown by Bailiwick Blue on Guernsey. Due to the nature of the dyeing there maybe a variation in the shade of blue.  I have grown the dyer's chamomile in my garden, it may depend on availability and I use weld or golden rod instead.

100% British wool, a blend of Bluefaced Leicester and Masham wool, reared and spun within 50 miles of the Yorkshire mill.
