The Fender King Vintage Acoustic is a harkening back to the 1960s, with Leo Fender at the helm of the company designing radical new guitars influenced by pop, surf, and counter cultures of the time.

This design originated in the early 1960s as the Fender King dreadnought. Originally produced between 1963-1966, the King was one in a collection of acoustics designed in collaboration with Germany's Roger Rossmeisl, a luthier who also designed electric guitars for Rickenbacker. Today, the King is available as a new offering from Fender once again, made with modern sustainable materials but still dripping with vintage Cali vibe.

The Fender King Vintage features a body comprised of a solid Spruce top and Ovangkol back and sides. It's Okoume neck sports a Modern "V" profile, Ovangkol fingerboard with 20 frets and 16" radius, Pearloid block inlays, and period-correct Tilt-Back Vintage King peghead with Fender Vintage Style tuners. The bridge on the King Vintage is styled after Fender's original Viking design.

Electronics are equipped on the King Vintage, and for this Fender chose the Fishman Sonitone Plus system. The Sonitone Plus features an undersaddle piezo pickup and internal body transducer. Controls for volume and blend between the two pickups are located inside the body at the top of the sound hole.

The Fender King Vintage also ships in a vintage-style Fender hardshell case.

A new offering in the Fender California series of acoustics, the King Vintage is a great choice for the working player looking for a left-of-center yet still traditional guitar shape, made of reliable materials and having a comfortable playing experience - all at an attainable price point.

He loved it
Is it durable? Not at all. Did he love it? While it lasted. Our dog is a monster chewer with toys so I go into every purchase knowing we might get 8 hours out of a toy if we're lucky, depending on visible durability. We don't even buy stuffies anymore because it's just not smart. He loved the squeak while it lasted, it's large so we never have to worry about him choking on it while running/being dumb. If you have a dog that will eat pieces of things as they destroy toys, this is not the toy for them. Ours plucks it apart piece by piece, but leaves the bits near one of us (LUCKILY!). If he didn't, we'd never buy this again. The missing star is just for lack of durability. Even for a rubber toy it felt like it didn't last very long.

I highly recommend and my dog loves it
I have a 80 pound bulldog who destroys everything he gets his mouth on. He loves this toy. He has not been able to destroy it. Not even a bite mark. He has to have this with him at all times (including during zoomies). I highly recommend it

Reed review don’t really recommend
Did not last very long with my larger dog. And honesty it was destroyed in about 15 minutes completely, and when my dog was tearing it apart, the chunks were large enough for my dog to choke on, so I would highly recommend watching your dog with this toy if they decide to chew it and tear it apart, so they don’t choke so this could be a possibly dangerous toy.

Best fetch toy for aggressive chewers.
Great toy to play fetch. I have aggressive chewer, and this works wonderful. Not heavy, and is soft, not like hard plastic. My dog loves them, (I bought 2). The bright color is easy to find, when you dog misplaces it. The price was very good, and well worth it. I recommend this toy, especially for retrieving dogs.
