About Condenser Microphones
Condenser mics have been in mass production for around 20 years. Because they're much smaller than dynamic mics, they're common in telephone and computer headsets, cell phones, and two-way radios, such as the small headsets you'd recognise on TV. Their small size means they need a power source (phantom power) to work, which is supplied up the microphone wire, so no batteries are required. Condenser mics are also generally more sensitive, producing more volume than a dynamic mic of the same type.

Will the HS36T work with my PA5 or PA6 Series system?
No. The HS36T is built specifically for PA 63, PA 64, JB 6 and MB 6 systems, and will not function on PA5/6 Series PAs.
Does this microphone need a battery?
No. As a condenser mic, it draws phantom power up the mic cable from the PA system itself.
