Surgical Scissors, Blunt-Blunt

Straight surgical scissors with 2 rounded (blunted) scissor blades for use in surgery or as universal scissors in medical practices. At Medvana, you can choose between straight or curved scissors and 2 lengths. The curved versions of the scissors (Cooper scissors) are particularly suited to cutting through thin tissue and for precise dissection work.


The scissors, available in a length of 13 or 14.5 cm, are made of German stainless steel and have two sharp blades. Choose between two different lengths and the two variants: Straight or curved.

Applications

The blunt-blunt surgical scissors can be used in the operating theatre and in medical practices. The curved version, also known as Cooper scissors, is mainly used for dissection and for cutting through fine tissue. These surgical scissors are also suitable for cutting through dressings, sutures and other surgical materials.


The rounded cutting blades enable atraumatic, blunt dissection where the blades are typically spread. They can be used, for example, to expose tissue, organs or vessels. However, the instrument is also suitable for cutting through dressing material, for cutting suture material and for cutting surgical material.
