This Gibson Melody Maker was crafted in 1968 and features serial number 805090. The guitar is constructed from an all-mahogany body, neck, and rosewood fingerboard. One single coil pickup is in the bridge position and can be controlled with the master volume/tone controls.
This 1968 Gibson Melody Maker comes to us in good condition. This guitar has been well loved over the years and shows it. Multiple dings, dents, scratches, and tarnished hardware can be seen throughout this one. This Melody Maker had a neck repair at some point, there are signs of this on both sides of the neck by the horns. The pickguard, bridge, and white button tuners are not original, but the guitar still has its original pickup and Vibrola. Our service department has installed new bridge studs and strung this one up with D'addario XTs.
