Disana of Germany

These soft, organic merino wool leggings carry the GOTS-certification - the highest standard for organic textiles.

Children love to run and romp and play outdoors.  These Disana leggings are designed to keep your child warm during long days outdoors.  They are soft and soothing, yet thick enough to give extra warmth.  Wool is breathable and its natural temperature-regulating properties keep your child comfortable in varying temperatures. They can be worn alone or as a base-layer.

The fine ribbed-knit of the merino wool makes the leggings especially flexible and stretchable.  The waistband's soft elastic keeps the leggings in place, without being constricting.

Sizing

European sizing is based on your child's full height in centimeters.  Conversion to inches noted beside centimeter sizing below.  Choose the size range that your child's height falls within.  For heftier children near upper limits of size range, choose one size up.

 Baby/Toddler

  • 62/68  (3-6 mo.) = 24.5 / 26.75 inches
  • 74/80  (6-12 mo.) = 29 / 31.5 inches
  • 86/92  (12-24 mo.) = 33.75 / 37 inches

Kids

  • 98/104  (3-4 yr) = 38.5 / 41.5 in
  • 110/116 (5-6 yr) = 43.5 / 46.5 in.
  • 122/128 (7-8 yr) = 48 / 51 in.
  • 134/140 (9-10 yr) = 52.75 / 56 in.

Also see sizing chart in photos.  Divide centimeters by 2.5 to get approximate measurement in inches.

Care of your Disana woolens

  •  Hand washing is always best for organic wool, in cool to lukewarm water.
  •  Specially formulated wool-wash helps maintain wool's unique properties.
  •  Wool's self-cleansing properties prolong need for washing - simply let it  air out between wearing.
  •  Washing before first use is not necessary with GOTS-certified wool.
  •  After washing, roll in terry cloth towel to press out excess water.
  •  Help garment regain its shape and elasticity by pulling into shape, if necessary.
  •  Dry lying flat or over drying rack, out of direct sunlight (which can discolor natural wool).
  •  Do not use bleach.
  •  Do not tumble dry.
  •  Iron on low setting, if necessary.
  •  Do not dry clean.

Easy Read with good case studies!!
Format: Paperback
I had to purchase this for my Advanced Pathophysiology class in my Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program. It is very easy to understand and have pretty good case studies. I like that the CD that accompanies the book goes into some detail in explaining the cases further and the disease processes without giving you the answers to the questions. It stimulates one to think!! Once this class is over I will go back from time to time to review!!

Helpful
Format: Paperback
This is a nice compliment to other classroom instruction materials. I am teaching an advanced pathophysiology course in a nurse practitioner program. This book is very helpful for students to put together the concepts of patho with the clinical setting. Will use these for in-class group assignments. Case-studies are thorough and offer a variety of different disease processes to choose from. It certainly does not offer a case study for every possible disease or clinical scenario, but does cover most major areas and enough variety in my opinion. Should be helpful in reinforcing the clinical significance of some difficult to understand concepts. I would recommend this text to course instructors.

Good book!
Format: Paperback
Very helpful book for pathophysiology. The CD not only gives you answers to the case studies but gives you clear details of the clinical Pathophysiology of a particular disease. Definitely recommend it to students going for their Master's degree!

No Answers Provided to Case Studies
Format: Paperback
The cases are helpful; however, realize that there are NO answers whatsoever to the questions presented in the cases--not a huge problem I suppose, b/c you can google everything, but certainly an annoyance. (esp. when there are multiple possible answers. The author states in the foreword that some of the cases are real; in which case, why not provide the justification presented in the patient's chart as to why that patient takes a particular drug, esp. considering that you may take a drug for its side effects rather than its therapeutic effect. . .anyhow. . ) I think if the author provided at least SOME insight/guidance to the cases that it would be much more helpful, but until then, I'm skeptical as to why others gave this book 5 stars.
