Compatibility & Fitment

These cleats are designed for the most common "off-road" and indoor cycling standards:

• Pedals: Fits all Shimano SPD mountain pedals (M520, M540, XT, XTR), Look X-Track series, and almost all commercial indoor spin bikes (Peloton, SoulCycle, Schwinn).
• Shoes: Compatible with any cycling shoe featuring a 2-hole mounting pattern. (Note: Not compatible with 3-hole "Road Only" shoes without an adapter).

When to Replace

• Excessive Vertical Play: Your shoe feels loose or "bouncy" even when clipped in, indicating the metal has worn thin.
• Difficult Disengagement: The edges of the cleat have become rounded or jagged, causing the pedal mechanism to stick during a twist-release.
• Visible Thinning: The front "nose" or rear "hook" of the cleat is significantly thinner than when new, posing a risk of accidental pull-out.
• Damaged Bolts: The hex-head bolts are rounded off or rusted, making it impossible to adjust or tighten the cleat position.

Installation Tips

• Grease the Threads: Apply a small amount of grease to the mounting bolts before installation. This prevents the steel bolts from seizing into the shoe's metal plate over time.
• Finding Your "Sweet Spot": Position the cleat so the ball of your foot is directly over the center of the pedal axle. Slide the cleat forward or backward in the shoe slots to find your most powerful position.
• Alignment: Ensure the cleat is pointing straight toward the toe of the shoe. A crooked cleat is a leading cause of knee pain during cycling.
• Tighten Firmly: Use a 4mm hex wrench to tighten the bolts securely. If the cleat moves during your first ride, it will damage the bottom of your shoe.
• The "Walk" Advantage: Unlike road cleats, these can be walked on. However, avoid walking on concrete or pavement for long distances to prevent premature wear of the engagement surfaces.
