A fan favorite era of Gibson players, the '60s are alive and well with the ES-335 60s. The era's refined playability and musicality arrives front-and-center with this thoroughly authentic '60s work. Everything here starts, as many great Electric Spanishes have, with a semi-hollow maple/poplar/maple body and maple centerblock. This loud-and-proud semi-hollow body projects with lush acoustic tonality with feedback defeated and sustain enhanced by the quality maple block.
From here, this '60s classic extends out with a glued-in set mahogany neck assuming the classically playable '60s-style SlimTaper neck. Slipping seamlessly from higher to lower registers with ease, the neck's playability is matched by a bound rosewood fingerboard lined with Medium Jumbo frets. The board measures at a flat twelve-inch radius and is lined with small block inlays for a vintage-accurate look.
The voice of this '60s classic comes to life with the inclusion of two T-Type Alnico 5 humbuckers. These warm, rich, and powerful humbuckers breathe with nuance for pickups that fit anywhere and everywhere. Backed up by a robust hardware setup, the ES-335 60s features a sturdy ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge with a Stop Bar tailpiece. Grover Rotomatic Milk Bottle tuning machines line the iconic Gibson headstock for easy tuning. This American-made ES-335 travels with an included hardshell case.
