A seriously classy Japanese-made Gretsch from the Professional Collection, this 2019 G6228 Players Edition Jet BT combines classic Jet aesthetics with modern performance upgrades and incredible build quality throughout. Finished in gloss black with aged binding, gold pickguard and nickel hardware, this one has the unmistakable Gretsch look while delivering far more punch, sustain and versatility than many players expect from a Jet.

Built with a chambered mahogany body and laminated maple top, the G6228 produces a rich, resonant tone with excellent balance and impressive clarity. The Broad’Tron BT-65 pickups, designed by Tim Shaw, give this model a much more muscular voice than traditional Filter’Trons, offering powerful mids, extended lows and smooth articulate highs that handle everything from shimmering cleans to thick overdriven tones with ease.

The Players Edition appointments really elevate the experience too, including Gotoh locking tuners, anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge, Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut and Gretsch V-Stoptail. It feels incredibly solid, responsive and premium in the hands.

This example is in very good used condition overall and has clearly been a cherished instrument. There is buckle rash to the rear, tarnishing to some of the hardware and light surface scratches/handling marks commensurate with age and use. Nothing structural or nasty at all, just honest cosmetic wear as shown in the photos.

Comes complete with the original Gretsch hard case, certificate of authenticity and original paperwork/document pack.
