Discover the groundbreaking insights of 'Religion as Make-Believe' by Neil Van Leeuwen, a transformative book published by Harvard University Press. This 2024 release delves into the fundamental nature of religious belief, challenging the conventional notion that religious beliefs are akin to ordinary factual beliefs. Van Leeuwen presents a compelling argument that our understanding of God and the supernatural is not processed in the same way as mundane realities. Drawing from comprehensive psychological, linguistic, and anthropological evidence, this book reveals that religious beliefs function more like imaginative constructs, guiding identity and social values within communities.Explore how the cognitive mechanisms behind religious credence shape our worldviews, allowing us to navigate the boundaries of reality and imagination. By examining two distinct cognitive maps—one of factual beliefs and one of religious credence—Van Leeuwen offers a fresh perspective on how religion serves not only as a set of beliefs but as a vital social component that defines group identity. 'Religion as Make-Believe' is essential for anyone interested in the psychology of belief systems, the social functions of religion, and the intersection of imagination and faith. This thought-provoking work invites readers to reconsider the cognitive aspects of religion, enriching the discourse surrounding spirituality and belief.

Cargo net seems to be good quality... it works well for what i wanted it for in my truck. The carabiners are a little flimsy and not good quality, but I had others I used instead. Worth the price, just get different carabiners.
