Great Rod For Most People
The 12ft length and soft action make the Shadowfire 365 a great rod for most purposes. It is a great choice for small streams to rivers where the fish are mostly under 18 inches and as small as 4 inches. The Shadowfire rod can handle larger fish than 18 inches, depending on your Tenkara fighting skills but it is not really a big fish rod.

Smooth Casting
The soft smooth casting action of this Tenkara rod with very very low oscillation will help you cast more naturally and accurately. If you are using level line, you will want size #3 or #3.5 for best performance but it will cast smaller sizes if desired. It will also cast any furled lines or tapered lines with ease.

Premium Rod Flex
The improved flex of this rod balances out the pressure nicely throughout the rod sections to eliminate hinging or points of pressure when fighting fish. This is something you would expect out of an expensive rod but you get it at a much less expensive price.

Comfortable Handle Shape
We designed our handle to fit the hand more comfortably to reduce hand fatigue and to give you more casting control. The classic camel double hump shape gives you many options to grip it in many different positions to accommodate your preference. This is the new smaller handle like the Mutant rod has.

Non-Reflective Sections
The matte black color of all the rod sections, except the handle/logo section, keeps the rod from reflecting the sun light and possibly alerting the fish of your presence. This is something that Tom Davis influenced us to do and it is preferred by many Tenkara anglers.

Premium Knitted Rod Sock
The rod sock is a soft knitted material that looks great and is thick enough to provide padded protection, for those times when you who prefer to leave the hard case behind. It is super easy and fast to remove and put away your rod without messing with silly strings or velcro flaps.

Both Tip Cap Styles
You get Both a regular wood/rubber tip cap and the universal tip cap, so you can use the one you prefer and keep the other one as a backup.

One-Time Rod Replacement Warranty: All DRAGONtail Tenkara rods have a ONE-TIME rod replacement warranty for accidentally destroy your Tenkara rod. For the Shadowfire 365 rod the replacement warranty fee is $50 + shipping. This rod replacement is for the rod only, does not include the rod tube or other extras. You must have your purchase receipt for this warranty option.
