This universal kit features a 45 in. torsion bar length and 20 in. long fabricated steel arms. Vertical links use a 14 in. long 1/2 in. x .20 RH/LH threaded rod that can be cut down to your desired length, and the necessary 1/2 in. x 20 thread heim joint rod ends, jam nuts, and tabs to weld to your axle tube are supplied. Also supplied is the universal weld-in 1.75 in. x .095 wall DOM tube that is cut to the proper length to work with the torsion bar length, and the delrin bushings to support the bar in the tube. The 45 in. bar is a .800 in. diameter. These kits require fabricating for installation -- these are NOT bolt-on kits.Shipping Notes

Looks terrific - great price
I needed to replace just one, but ended up using both the left and right so that they matched. In the closeup picture you can see that the original part is chrome with black on the inside edges of the fins, where the replacement is all chrome. This is only obvious up close if you're looking for it. There is also a slight gap in the fit at the lower inside corner - so not perfect, but also not noticable at any reasonable distance. Wide shots shows both replacement parts installed.
As others have mentioned, this is not the same quality as the original BMW part - but at 1/4 of the price, it is a darn good value and has restored the look of my car.
FOR 2003 CONVERTIBLE OWNERS: This part fits the "pre-facelift" model manufactured through March 2003. I learned this the hard way, because I didn't know about the facelift that came half a year later for cabriolets than it did for hard top models. Make sure you know which side of that manufacturing date your 2003 convertible is on before ordering.

Buy OEM
Finish is fine but sizing is wrong and these don't fit tight but rattle. About 3/4" movement in all ways, which will lead to scratched paint.
If you've got a beater, these are fine but for my clean M3, I'll buy OEM from FCP or Turner.
