The brand made the famous 6490 hiking boot to critical acclaim. This style was deemed the pinnacle of Hiking footwear all the way through the 70’s, until 1979 when the company teamed up with Gore-tex to create the first ever fully waterproof boot. In the modern era, Danner has been picked up by both the Japanese and US menswear crowds because of their commitment to around 80% of product still being made in Portland, USA and the fact they are a truly authentic and now iconic outdoor brand.
