Artist Biography – Jack Jnr Macale Loodgebuddunge

Bunuba • Walmajarri • Djaru • Gooniyandi Artist – Fitzroy Crossing, WA

Jack Jnr Macale Loodgebuddunge is a highly regarded contemporary Kimberley artist whose work is deeply connected to his multi-tribal heritage and the powerful cultural stories passed down through his family. Born in 1978 in Subiaco, Perth, Jack was raised in Fitzroy Crossing’s Junjuwa community and later moved with family to help establish Biridu community on his grandfather’s ancestral Country when the land was returned in the early 1990s.

Jack comes from a remarkable artistic lineage. His Walmajarri grandmother, Munmurria Daisy Andrews, is one of the most celebrated painters of the Kimberley, renowned for her vibrant and emotive depictions of Country. His paternal grandmother, Tiny Macale, is also a widely acclaimed artist from the Northern Territory. Surrounded by influential artists and strong cultural matriarchs, Jack developed a deep appreciation for art from an early age.

A central inspiration in Jack’s work is the Bunuba warrior Jandamarra, a towering figure of resistance whose stories Jack learnt through campfire teachings from his elders. These narratives of strength, survival, and cultural pride bring a compelling emotional depth to his artworks and strongly resonate with collectors.

Today, Jack lives and paints in Fitzroy Crossing, where his practice continues to evolve. He describes art as his “lifetime never-ending medicine,” reflecting his belief in painting as both cultural responsibility and personal healing. His works are sought after for their authenticity, strong storytelling, and connection to Country.

Collectors value Jack’s art for its:

  • Rich cultural significance and powerful lineage

  • Direct connection to some of the Kimberley’s most respected artists

  • Evocative storytelling influenced by real Bunuba history

  • Unique blend of heritage, identity, and contemporary expression

Jack’s paintings offer not only a striking visual presence but also a meaningful opportunity to support an artist who carries forward generations of cultural knowledge. His work holds strong appeal for both new collectors and those seeking significant pieces with depth, provenance, and powerful cultural integrity.

Djinbinmarra (Wandjina) – Rainmaker Spirit

Djinbinmarra, widely known as Wandjina, is one of the most powerful Creation Spirits of the Kimberley. Revered by the Ngarinyin, Worrorra, and Wunambal peoples, the Wandjina is believed to have shaped the landscape, brought ancestral laws into being, and continues to control the vital wet-season rains.

As the Rainmaker Spirit, Wandjina governs storms, lightning, and seasonal renewal—ensuring the land, waterholes, and natural resources remain abundant. Traditionally, elders performed ceremonial dances to honour the Wandjina and encourage rain during times of drought.

In Aboriginal art, Wandjina figures are highly distinctive: front-facing with large black eyes, a small slit-like nose, and a radiant halo symbolising clouds and lightning. The dotted patterns often covering their bodies represent falling rain, mist, and the life-giving energy that sustains Country.

Collectors value Wandjina artworks for their strong cultural significance, striking symbolism, and deep connection to one of the Kimberley’s most revered ancestral beings.

Don't buy AppleCare from Amazon, won't "attach" to your device automatically
Style Name: MacBook Pro 14" (M4), Configuration: 3 years
As another reviewer said, Amazon should not be allowed to sell digital items like these and fail to deliver them. That's called a scam. I have yet to receive my AppleCare agreement, but Amazon was more than glad to charge my Amex right away. Purchasing AppleCare from Amazon will only get you to a download of a PDF of the general terms and conditions, from your "Software Library", but it is not YOUR actual user agreement, and will not register on your device. Amazon will not help either, they will refer you to Apple support, and Apple will tell you that without an Agreement Number, they can't apply your AppleCare to your device. Since the PDF Amazon directs you to is a simple General Terms and Conditions document, there is no Agreement Number. In addition, the purchase invoice doesn't show this Agreement Number nor the device's Serial Number (which Amazon claims is recorded with the purchase... it's not) Save yourself the headache, and buy AppleCare direct from Apple, it will be about $60 more, but the "savings" is not worth dealing with this Amazon stuff. Amazon will also refuse to process a refund, stating that "only Apple can do that". Guess Amazon is telling you to contact your credit card and initiate a chargeback for services not received as paid.

Was skeptical but it worked out of the box
Style Name: MacBook Air 13" (M4), Configuration: 3 years, Style Name: MacBook Air 13" (M4), Configuration: 3 years
Was skeptical at first but decided to pull the plug and get the m4 laptop with 3 years of apple care and it works. Haven't even opened an email or anything, laptop was still fresh out of the box. When I remembered I bought apple care and decided to check. Applied instantly as far as I know once I linked my apple account on the first boot up with internet! Good stuff

DO NOT PURCHASE WITH YOUR MACBOOK OR OTHER APPLE DEVICES
Style Name: MacBook Air 13" (M4), Configuration: 3 years, Style Name: MacBook Air 13" (M4), Configuration: 3 years
I bought this along with my MacBook. And here is why you SHOULDN'T: 1. They NEVER sent me an AppleCare+ Agreement. You will only be able to download a General Terms & Conditions file. 2. I bought: AppleCare+ for 13-inch MacBook Air (M4) (3 years) and in the General Terms & Conditions that I downloaded, looking for my AppleCare+ Agreement #, it NEVER mentioned Macbook Air as a covered device. It was meant for other smaller devices, which is why it's cheaper. 3. Like I mentioned, since I never received an agreement, I never got an agreement #. 4. Since this AppleCare wasn't actually meant for a MacBook, it didn't connect automatically to my computer. So when I went to talk to Apple and Amazon, without an Agreement # you can do ANYTHING. If you purchase it, read through your General Terms and Conditions and find an excuse to ask for a FULL REFUND. Since this didn't cover my computer, I was thankfully able to get one, but it was a pain trying to talk to customer support and apple.

It worked! Apple Care was added to my device when I received it!
Style Name: MacBook Pro 14" (M4 Pro/M4 Max), Configuration: 3 years
I purchased an MacBook and AppleCare+ at the same time. A day/two after the purchase I received an email from Amazon that the AppleCare+ was in software and go to digital download. When I downloaded it was just the agreement. Then I started reading all the negative reviews on nightmare experience with Amazon and AppleCare+ not being added. I was very nervous and mentally prepare for the nightmare that lie ahead which having to call Amazon multiple times and then having to call Apple multiple times. To my surprise, right after Amazon delivered the MacBook (I got notification your item was delivered) I got another email from Amazon that AppleCare+ was added the laptop with agreement number and serial number of the laptop I received. I checked Apple's coverage site and sure enough Apple site showed AppleCare+ coverage tied the MacBook. I didn't even open the box or turn it on and see the AppleCare+ coverage. Hopefully this gives some insight to future buyers of AppleCare+ from Amazon!!!

DO NOT PURCHASE APPLECARE+ THROUGH AMAZON (Please read before making a decision)
Style Name: MacBook Air 13" (M4), Configuration: 3 years
I rarely write reviews like this, but DO NOT PURCHASE APPLECARE+ THROUGH AMAZON. Just over a month ago, I purchased an Apple MacBook Air (m4) with AppleCare+. The AppleCare+ wasn't populating on the laptop, so after calls with Apple Support and Apple Agreement Administration, they found that AMAZON sent them the approved agreement with the device serial number then abruptly canceled it the following day. This happened over a month ago, and I was not notified nor have I received a refund. I would not have known it was canceled if not for Apple Support and Apple Agreement Administration. The only recourse is to receive a refund from Amazon--which is NOT automatic, I am fighting for this--and purchase AppleCare+ directly through Apple. Had all this taken place after the 60-days purchasing the MacBook Air (I'm currently one week short of this deadline), then I would be SOL on being able to cover my device. PURCHASE AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION/RISK AND CHECK THAT APPLECARE+ IS APPROVED AND ACTIVE ON YOUR DEVICE. Otherwise, play it safe and activate directly through Apple.
