About Gin Lane 1751 Victoria Pink Gin

Gin Lane 1751 Victoria Pink Gin is a remarkable product with a rich history and vibrant taste. Steeped in tradition, it embraces the classic Victorian gin-making methods. Deriving its name and inspiration from the historic Gin Act of 1751, the spirit integrally stands out in terms of both flavor and quality. The distinct 'Victoria Pink' variety is a classic gin at 40% ABV, infused with naturally blended spiced bitters. The result? A full-bodied gin with a touch of spice.

With its origins in London, Victoria Pink offers an enchanting blend of eight botanicals that craft an unmatched gin experience. What makes it unique also is its visually appealing, all-natural pink hue that comes from Angostura bitters, making it a standout in the Gin category. Victoria Pink Gin is not just a drink; it reflects a connoisseur's taste, making it a perfect choice for those who seek a blend of tradition and quality when they browse or shop for spirits online.

Tasting Notes

From the first sniff to the lingering aftertaste, Victoria Pink Gin takes the gin experience to an entirely new level. The Nose welcomes you with a complex, yet inviting blend of juniper, citrus, and coriander that is beautifully complemented by spiced bitters. The Mouthfeel is a delightful orchestra of flavors - where classic juniper notes seamlessly merge with a hint of star anise, a touch of lemon, and a dash of cinnamon to create a warm, spicy palate. The Aftertaste is smooth and warm with a lingering sweet spice that would entice you for another sip.

Suggested Serves

  • Victoria Pink Negroni: The bitterness of the cocktail is excellently balanced with Victoria Pink's warm, spiced notes.
  • Pink Gin and Tonic: This classic serve highlights Victoria Pink's bold flavors against the subtle bitterness of the tonic.
  • Victoria Pink Martini: The unique combination of spice, dryness, and the gin's pink hue makes this a visual and tasteful delight.

Production Notes

The production process of Gin Lane 1751 Victoria Pink Gin is an art in itself. The process begins with a neutral grain spirit at 96% ABV which serves as a blank canvas. The botanicals, including juniper, orris root, Seville oranges, and more, are steeped in the spirit for 24 hours. The gin then goes through traditional pot still distillation. The last step involves infusing the gin with the spiced bitters which gives it its trademark color and unique flavor. From production to the moment you order and savor it, Victoria Pink Gin promises a superior gin experience.

One of the most original and moving books of poems I've ever read
Format: Paperback
Ilya Kaminsky is practically a legend, at this point, and deservedly so. This is his second book of poems, and proves well worth the wait. The individual poems are beautiful and strange; together, they comprise a kind of allegory for our times, and manage to be both somehow light-of-heart, somehow luminous, and also seriously profound. I would recommend this book even to those who don't usually read poetry, because it's beyond poetry, truly.

Beautifully written and good quality book
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
I received the book earlier than the estimated date. I love this poem collection of Ilya Kaminsky. Although it describes the social unrest in an unknown place (and unfamiliar to me), his poems are beautifully written with strong images and music. THe paper quality and the book are so new and lovely. I couldn't think that it is used (as it stated).

Life: A challenge in many ways in all cultures
Format: Kindle
I heard Ilya Kaminsky read his poems at Chautauqua this past summer. Over powering and dynamic to hear his voice speak his words... about his life experiences need to be remembered. A must read and if possible with the audio.

A brilliant poetic narrative whose lines leap off the pages which turn themselves.
Format: Paperback
When you get to the end, you wonder how Kaminsky worked his wondrous magic, how it's possible to think and write poetry like that. The poem is a story about Vasenka, a mythical town somewhere in the Ukraine, occupied by the Soviet army during an unspecified period of time. It is an allegory of the cruelty of occupation, the futility of the resistance of a few, and the deafness of the silent majority, a deafness that courageously resists the occupation and a deafness that hardens the heart and ignores the evil surrounding them. It could have happened anywhere anytime. The occupiers could have been Nazis, Ottoman Turks, American, English, or Spanish. The poetry is piercingly sharp, visionary, breathless and the metaphors are the likes of which you've never heard before, lines like “the sound we do not hear lifts the gulls off the water,” “Our hearing doesn't weaken, but something silent in us strengthens,” or “In these avenues, deafness is our only barricade.” This is drop-dead beautiful poetry.

Haunting Humanity lurks in war’s reactions.
Format: Kindle
The poem moves efficiently through the myriad experiences that result from deadly conflict with a nameless and menacing enemy. I kept thinking I was reading a rendering of Kafka with the haunting glimpses of the horror of permanent victim hood. Now I must study the Deaf Republic and hope for understanding.
