We seldom have non Texas wood in our inventory, but this is left over from a commissioned project. The grain on this block is long and straight with a slight inclination to the long axis of the spindle. The color is a rich red brown with deeper brown stripes. The wood is 8 to 10% moisture content. I see no cracks, checks, or knots. There are a couple of surface blemishes (sawblade scuff marks or mud/dirt) that will clean or sand right off. We've cut multiple of this size of spindle, so the piece you receive will not be exactly the one pictured. It will be its equivalent in quality. |
