How to Use Turmeric Essential Oil

Turmeric Essential Oil is suited to external aromatic use where a warming, grounding character is desired.

Diffusion
Add a few drops to water in a diffuser to introduce a deep, spicy warmth into the space.

Topical Use
Always dilute Turmeric Essential Oil with a suitable carrier oil before applying to the skin. A typical dilution rate is 1 to 2%, which is around 1 to 2 drops per 10 ml of carrier oil. Carry out a patch test before use.

Massage
Blend with a carrier oil and use in massage blends aimed at warming tired areas, particularly hands and feet.

Bathing
Add a small amount of properly diluted oil to warm bath water for a gently warming aromatic experience.

How to Dilute Turmeric Essential Oil

For general use, a 1 to 2% dilution is recommended. This equals approximately 6 to 12 drops of Turmeric Essential Oil per 30 ml of carrier oil.
For sensitive skin, reduce to a 0.5 to 1% dilution. Always carry out a patch test before wider application.
