Just a little bit of texture adorns this asymmetrical shawl, knit from side to side. The design consists of simple texture stitches, alternated with garter stitch, providing a good balance between mindless knitting and rows that require just a bit of attention.

Enjoyable for beginners with a little experience, and more advanced knitters as well. Adaptable for any gauge, the pattern will work best for yarns with very little color variation (too much variegation hides the beautiful texture).

 Light Fingering

DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Tosh Merino Light by Madelinetosh (100% Merino Wool; 420yds): 2 Skeins. Shown in colorway Thyme.

ALTERNATE YARN: Mechita by Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/420yds): 2 Skeins.  Use colorway Pascal to closely match the sample in the photographs.  An almost identical match to Tosh Merino Light, but in easy care superwash!  Highly variegated colors have been pulled from the selection to follow the designer's instructions. 

ALTERNATE YARN: Sock by Malabrigo  (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/440yds): 2 Skeins.  Use colorway Jasmine to closely match the sample in the photographs.  Sock is a plied light fingering superwash yarn for those who prefer a more defined stitch. Available in the gorgeous Malabrigo kettle-dyed colors.  Highly variegated colors have been pulled from the selection to follow the designer's instructions.

ALTERNATE YARN: O-Wash Fingering by O-Wool (100% Washable Organic Merino Wool; 100g/394yds): 2 skeins.  Available in solid colors with eco-friendly processing for the environmentally minded consumer.  Dyed & milled in the Northeastern USA.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Wingspan- 65", Height- 16.5" after blocking
