The Music Man DarkRay bass is a particularly special instrument. This bass, designed in collaboration with European bass guitar masterminds Darkglass Electronics, is a StingRay Special unlike any you've seen before. Music Man's classic StingRay Special is transformed with the help of Darkglass Electronics. A new 2 band EQ preamp designed by Darkglass plays the starring role in this bass for a deep tonal experience that could only be produced by a team like Darkglass. Three tonally distinct modes are offered by this new preamp – Clean, Alpha, and Omega. Between the Alpha's distortion tone and the Omega's fuzz tone, the DarkRay already serves up a vast tonal palette from the second it is plugged in. Onboard gain and blend controls let you mix between the three modes to summon your own unique blend of StingRay and Darkglass voices. Incredibly versatile, this is a bass with instantly dynamic tones constantly on tap – it's a new kind of tonal trip.

The enormous tonal spectrum this bass offers is complemented by its Music Man design and construction.
