BOUM equips players with three distinct effects that generate a signal-enhancing sum. Inside BOUM is a compressor, distortion generator, and low-pass filter. Your first effect in the circuit, the compressor, is controlled via a single dial to control the three essential parameters of a compressor – threshold, ratio, and makeup gain. This compressor can be reeled in for very subtle compression or maxed out for a deeply compressed voicing. The next effect, the distortion generator, opens the field up for four distortion circuits to run wild. The distortion circuits include a soft clipping boost, an asymmetrical tube overdrive, a hard clipping fuzz, and a square wave generator.
