The Taylor Academy 20e Walnut offers all the benefits of a solid walnut top along with the comfort features of the smaller size instrument. Walnut produces a tone as a top wood similar to Mahogany or Koa as a result of comparable hardness and density. Walnut has a beautiful natural figure that looks as great as it sounds. With a scale length of 24 7/8” and a nut width of 1 11/16” the Academy 20e Walnut is a perfectly downsized dreadnought instrument with all the key characteristics you would expect from a strum-able dread.  The beveled armrest adds to the comfort creating a soft spot for your strumming forearm to rest while you play, instead of a sharp 90-degree corner. You won’t often see a beveled armrest on instruments in this price point.
