Dosage

One block treats 8,000 lb. (500 lb. of cattle per 1.5 lb.).

Adequate forage must be available at all times to cattle receiving supplemental block feeding.

Safe-Guard® (fenbendazole) 20% Protein Deworming Block (Medicated) is designed for deworming pastured cattle by feeding these medicated blocks for three (3) days only as the sole source of salt. It is essential to establish full cattle adaptation to supplemental block feeding prior to treating cattle with Safe-Guard® 20% Protein Deworming Block (Medicated). Cattle behavior and per capita consumption must be established by feeding nonmedicated 20% Protein Blocks prior to medicated block treatment. Adaptation to block feed intake for medicated treatment may take twelve (12) to nineteen (19) days of prior exposure to unmedicated feed blocks depending on consumption rates and environmental conditions. When cattle block consumption of 0.1 pound (1.6 ounces) per 100 pounds of body weight (or 1.0 pound for a 1000-pound cow) per day is attained for several days on the nonmedicated 20% Protein Block, the three (3) day medicated treatment with Safe-Guard® 20% Protein Deworming Blocks (Medicated) may begin.

For effective treatment, the cattle must consume an average 0.1 pound of Safe-Guard® 20% Protein Deworming Blocks (Medicated) per 100 pounds of body weight each day for the three (3) days of treatment. This is equivalent to an average of one (1) pound per head per day to a 1000-pound cow for the three days of treatment in order to provide a total dose of 2.27 mg fenbendazole per pound of body weight. To commence deworming treatment, replace the nonmedicated blocks with Safe-Guard® 20% Protein deworming Blocks (Medicated). Place these medicated blocks at the same locations where cattle have demonstrated adequate per capita block intake (0.1 pound per 100 pounds of body weight per day).

DAILY TREATMENT (To be continued for three [3] days):

500 1/2 16
750 3/4 11
1,000 1 8

*NUMBER OF HEAD FULLY TREATED BY EACH BLOCK WHEN CONSUMED IN THREE (3) DAYS.

Following the three (3) day treatment any remaining Safe-Guard® 20% Protein Deworming Blocks (Medicated) should be removed from the pasture and cattle may be returned to their normal supplemental feeding program. Remaining blocks, or portions of blocks, can be utilized for retreatment purposes if used prior to the expiration date shown below.

It is essential that good block feeding husbandry practices be followed at all times. Block feeding techniques include, but are not limited to, a variety of practices. Blocks should be first located in those areas where cattle are seen to browse or loaf. It may be desirable to relocate unconsumed blocks to locations where obvious block consumption is identified. Increased consumption may often be obtained by moving feeding stations into shaded or loafing areas, closer to water source, increasing the number of blocks available to the animals or combinations of these practices. Decreased consumption may often be obtained by the reverse of the above practices.

Drug Feeding Rate

1.67 mg fenbendazole per kg body weight per day for three (3) days. Total dose for the three (3) day period of 5 mg fenbendazole per kg of body weight (2.27 mg fenbendazole per pound).

Do not underdose. Ensure each animal receives a complete dose based on a current body weight. Underdosing may result in ineffective treatment, and encourage the development of parasite resistance.

Other Warnings

Parasite resistance may develop to any dewormer, and has been reported for most classes of dewormers. Treatment with a dewormer used in conjunction with parasite management practices appropriate to the geographic area and the animal(s) to be treated may slow the development of parasite resistance. Fecal examinations or other diagnostic tests and parasite management history should be used to determine if the product is appropriate for the herd, prior to the use of any dewormer. Following the use of any dewormer, effectiveness of treatment should be monitored (for example, with the use of a fecal egg count reduction test or another appropriate method). A decrease in a drug’s effectiveness over time as calculated by fecal egg count reduction tests may indicate the development of resistance to the dewormer administered. Your parasite management plan should be adjusted accordingly based on regular monitoring.

CONSULT YOUR VETERINARIAN FOR ASSISTANCE IN THE DIAGNOSIS, TREATMENT AND CONTROL OF PARASITISM.

returned- for now
Style: Updated Formula
I was using the lotion version of this for about a year, then went to the balm for more hydration. However, it seems to be breaking me out. I think because it's spring, im not needing as much occlusion as i did during winter. I'm gonna go back to the lotion formula, then pick this up again next winter. It is a little hard to spread, but I spray the avene mineral water on, let it dry slightly, and press the balm into my skin when its still wet. That helps thin the balm just enough to rub in. Otherwise, it can actually feel kind of rough!

Impressive
Style: Updated Formula
Nice thick cream! I even saw results (skin improvement) within days. I like this way better than their Cicalfate+, as it’s easier to rub in, less greasy, and doesn’t have the water vs cream separation issue. I’m not a huge fan of the pump top for this one, but at least it’s a tube instead of a solid canister (where you can’t see how much is left or get to the last bit).

Obsessed. Soothing, effective, fragrance-free, incredibly healing
Style: Tolerance Daily Foaming Facial Cleanser
I’ve been loving this so much I bought a second bottle after a few days of using it. It has all the skin soothing benefits of the tolerance lotion cleanser, but it’s also a really great cleanser. It’s almost not noticeable how good it is at cleansing because your skin doesn’t feel stripped after, but it takes things off really quickly. I was worried because it doesn’t foam a lot and it feels so nurturing — much like the tolerance lotion cleanser (which I use as a second cleanse when my skin needs a few days to recover from something like a derm office treatment) — but when I wash again with my favorite HG cleanser nothing extra comes off, and I tested it twice on waterproof eyeliner that I’d swiped on my forearm for an hour or so, the eyeliner dissolved and wiped off with two or three gentle swipes. It has a very emollient texture, so when you rub it against your skin it slips so easily you don’t realize it’s dissolving and taking things away because there is no friction. So it’s great at taking off makeup, it’s AMAZING at cleaning makeup brushes, and IT DOES NOT BURN MY EYES AT ALL. Also, it is FRAGRANCE-FREE… before I bought it I read a review complaining about smelling a citrus fragrance, that person either has some sort of brain tumor or something spilled on their bottle when it was in a warehouse because this is definitely a fragrance-free product. Prior to trying this, I had tried another cleanser that gave me weird acne hives all over my chest (never happened to me before) and I was struggling to heal the acne and the irritation. I noticed an immediate difference when I started using the tolerance cleanser on it; the fresh redness went away, the acne started healing, and the post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation has been healing fast. So I’ve been using this on my body as well and it’s soothing and moisturizing in all the places where other things have been drying. I have mild rosacea and I hadn’t realized how irritated my skin was from the last thing I’d tried until after 5 days or so of using this my skin tone looked much more even and the stubborn PIH I have from a two-zit hormonal breakout a month ago finally looked dramatically lighter (as recently as the week before, I’d needed to cover them with high-coverage concealer). Because this doesn’t foam much, some people might not realize how well it’s cleaning… I encourage you to judge it based on how your skin looks and feels. Since it is very emollient though, I do think it’s important to use it with a face wash scrubber or washcloth just to ensure you’re getting some mild mechanical exfoliation and clearing away skin cells that could be trapping stuff in your pores. For this reason, I do wash my face with this twice so the first wash can get off makeup/debris/oil and then the second wash can really penetrate and clean my skin.
