2010 Pisa Range Estate Pinot GrisThe grapes are grown just a few metres from Pisa Range Estate by our neighbours Thompson Vineyard located at Pisa 10km north of Cromwell Central Otago. This is a single vineyard. The 2010 season was excellent, with settled weather during flower set. A long warm autumn ensured the fruit was brought into the winery in excellent condition. The grapes were hand harvested on 15th of April 2010 whole bunch pressed, and underwent stainless steel ferment. The

The grapes are grown just a few metres from Pisa Range Estate by our neighbours –Thompson Vineyard located at Pisa 10km north of Cromwell Central Otago.  This is a ‘single vineyard’.

The 2010 season was excellent, with settled weather during flower set. A long warm autumn ensured the fruit was brought into the winery in excellent condition. The grapes were hand harvested on 15th of April 2010  - whole bunch pressed, and underwent stainless steel ferment.  The wine was aged on lees for 6 months -  fermented dry – 4gr/l residual sugar.

 Palate:           Citrus, dry, textual, with juicy acids, savoury notes

 Cellar:            3 to 5 years

 Alcohol:         13.5%

Perfect match with fish, seafood and spicy Asian styled dishes.   Also a great match with goats cheese.

Enthusiastic Chewer Approved

You would think that a two pack of chew toys would be a great option for a household with two aggressive chewers but the dogs still fight over the toys. They seem to really love them an are choosing these first among several tough chew toy options. I can't speak to whether there is a bacon flavor but they did seem to have a slightly smoky smell to them when they arrived. The girls have been working hard on them for about a week and while they certainly show teeth marks, they appear to be holding up well. The size is nice for medium to large dogs and the shape lets them hold on to it while getting an angle at the apple knobs on the opposite end. The only downside, if I had to name one, is that they are heavy and if (when) your bestie drops the toy on your bare foot, it smarts.
