LP version. The brilliant songwriter Jean-Sébastien Nouveau invites many musicians to give life to this new opus, Les Marquises' third album A Night Full Of Collapses. The newcomers are Matt Elliott (featured on "Feu Pâle", "The Beguiled", "Following Strangers", and "The Passing"), Agathe Max (Ofield, Farewell Poetry), Olivier Mellano, Christian Quermalet (The Married Monk), Jeff Hallam (Dominique A), Louis Montmasson, and François Clos. They join Jonathan Grancollot (Pan Pan Pan), Souleymane Felicioli, Julien Nouveau, Martin Duru (Immune), and obviously Jean-Sébastien Nouveau, who wrote all the lyrics and music while conducting the whole ensemble. Les Marquises' surprising 2013 Pensée Magique, an experimental pop-oriented album inspired by the cinema of Werner Herzog, Peter Brook, and Jean Rouch. Now Jean-Sébastien is back with A Night Full Of Collapses which, as it's title suggests, is an eminently nocturnal record. Cinematic atmospheres are always present but the aforementioned references here give way to the work of David Lynch. The record is reminiscent of Badalamenti's compositions for Twin Peaks or the more recent dark-jazz of Dale Cooper Quartet and The Dictaphones as well as the first records by Bohren & Der Club of Gore. And while on the subject of disturbing and offbeat atmospheres, it is impossible not hear the ghosts of Talk Talk and especially Psychic TV floating here and there. But as always with Les Marquises, these are only first impressions. The influences and inspirations may seem clear at first sight but we soon find they make up a simple background whose sole purpose is to situate an action and provide context. Like the cinema which inspires him so much, Jean-Sébastien is cryptic in his approach and does not wish to clearly reveal his intentions to listeners. On the contrary, he aims to throw listeners off balance without ever attacking them and to lead them to lose themselves in his nocturnal, dreamlike, sometimes peaceful, sometimes unstable universe. A Night Full Of Collapses cultivates a mysterious aura conducive to wandering and reflection. Pensée Magique was both concise and yet abundant, even stifling for some. A Night Full Of Collapses is more grounded in some ways as it leaves aside bursts of pop in favor of a more jazzy framework which conveys it's author's benevolent attitude.

Only for real men...
Style: Rough Exfoliation
So much crying here. This is not a luxurious sponge. But if your are a man, this is the hot ticket. Coarse but not like a cheese grater. Holds liquid soap well. Foams well. The elastic strap let's you keep hold of it easily and will reverse over the pad so you can use either side. Leaves your skin pink and fresh... in a manly sort of way. 😉

SELF TANNERS MUST HAVE!!
Style: Rough Exfoliation
This product is perfect for those of us who use self tanners!! For self tanners to work well and not look splotchy one needs well exfoliated skin and this sponge is exactly the right tool for the task! My skin feels so much softer, my self tanner working much better and my body lotion seems to absorb more quickly. These sponges are easy to hold and have a loop to hang from while they dry. Every week when I wash my towels I toss the sponge(s) into a lingerie bag and wash with the towels. I always hang to dry so no idea how they’d handle a dryer. I will never be without these sponges!

If you like it rough (enough)...
Style: Rough Exfoliation
Perhaps a tad rough for some, the Caveem scrubbers are ideal for me- rough, but not cheese-grater-aggressive. I have been using the first of my two pack for almost three months and, beyond a slight "softening" of the surface, it is in perfect shape- no deformation, no open seams, no tears, thin spots, or defects of any kind. It looks and works like near-new. The sponge is a great size for man hands- basically 6" x 4", and is thick enough to hold ample soap and water to cover quite a bit of skin without reloading. The strap is comfortable and sturdy and, perhaps trivial, but the colors are manly without branding with skulls or wrenches or some other compensatory masculine iconography! I am very satisfied and if they ever wear out, I will happily purchase again.

Good quality for the price
Style: Rough Exfoliation, Style: Rough Exfoliation
Great product for the price! I like a good scrub and this product is the perfect amount of toughness but gentle enough so my skin is not negatively impacted. Its wide although an adjustable strap would have been amazing, its a great size and I appreciate it coming with two!! Easy to use and Holds soap and lather excellent.
