Beschreibung: Der Trichocereus bridgesii Psycho0 ist ein legendärer Klon des Bolivian Torch-Kaktus und eine begehrte Rarität unter Sammlern. Diese Pflanze wird nicht aus Samen gezogen, sondern stammt direkt aus vegetativer Vermehrung – ein genetisch identischer Nachkomme der ursprünglichen Mutterpflanze. Seine beeindruckende Wuchsform, kombiniert mit einer auffälligen, gelegentlich bläulich schimmernden Epidermis, macht ihn zu einem echten Blickfang in jeder Kakteen- oder Sukkulentensammlung.

 

Aussehen:
Psycho0 wächst säulenförmig mit schlanken, aufrechten Trieben. Die Rippen sind tief und markant ausgeprägt, was der Pflanze eine skulpturale Erscheinung verleiht. Unter intensiver Sonneneinstrahlung nimmt die normalerweise hellgrüne bis graugrüne Haut eine leicht bläuliche Tönung an – ein ästhetisches Merkmal, das durch die Wachsschicht (Cuticula) verstärkt wird. Die Dornen sind relativ lang, hell bis bräunlich gefärbt und sitzen in auffälligen Areolen.

 

Standort:

Ein sonniger, heller Standort ist ideal für diesen Kaktus. Besonders gut gedeiht er an einem Südfenster oder während der Sommermonate im Freien an einem vollsonnigen Platz. Sonnenlicht ist entscheidend für kräftiges Wachstum und die Ausbildung der charakteristischen Färbung.

Pflege:
 Der Trichocereus bridgesii Psycho0 ist unkompliziert in der Pflege. Während der Wachstumsperiode (Frühling bis Herbst) sollte regelmäßig, aber nur bei vollständig abgetrocknetem Substrat gegossen werden. In der Ruhephase im Winter fast trocken halten. Staunässe unbedingt vermeiden.

 

Substrat:
 Ein gut durchlässiges Substrat ist essenziell. Ideal ist eine Mischung aus etwa 30–40 % hochwertiger Blumenerde mit einem hohen Anteil an mineralischen Bestandteilen wie Bims, Lavamulch, Zeolith, Sand oder feinem Kies, um Staunässe zu vermeiden.

 

Winterhärte:
 Der Trichocereus ist nicht frosthart und sollte bei Temperaturen über 5 °C gehalten werden. Ein kühler, heller Standort mit ca. 10 °C im Winter unterstützt die natürliche Ruhephase.

Almost perfect...upraised logo should be left off
